About the event
What better way to spend the afternoon with your family than adventuring by bike and foot in the woods! This might be a short “kid distance” event, but it won’t be short on adventure. It’ll just be tailored to giving your kids a great low pressure race experience. Some of the checkpoints will be “geo-cache” style, where every youth racer will collect treasures/toys/treats as part of the course. There will be several “opt out” points where teams with littler ones can shorten each leg to stay within the “emotional fun-zone” and avoid a full-fledged meltdown. All-kid teams will be allowed for children over 12 with at least one teammate 14 or older. (Parent signature etc required).
This one will be held at La Pine State Park in La Pine, a perfect setting for kids as all of the trails are flat and fun!
Race will be a friendly-competitive event, with no official ranking or divisions. We will equally distribute all sponsor prizes.
